Job Description

The desired candidate will perform various construction, support, and repair projects for customers in the coal, limestone, and other industries. The position will work alongside a small crew at a variety of locations, including various job sites and company maintenance facility. Work includes both underground and surface tasks.

Primary responsibilities and work phases include:

• • Operating various tools used in construction repair activities such as impact drills, saws, transit, pneumatic drills/chippers, welding/cutting tools, etc.
  • Structural steel work including removal, replacement, or repair of steel beams
  • Mine roof, rib, and highwall bolting/repair
  • Operation of mobile equipment including excavators, forklifts, and skid steers
  • Shotcrete, concrete, and grout application
  • General labor at maintenance facility or work site as required

Job Requirements

• Standard Requirements for Position
• • Ability to perform required physical labor
  • Passing criminal background check (to comply with ATF) 
  • 40-Hr MSHA New Miner Training
    
  • PA and/or WV underground mining certifications
    
  • Valid driver's license
    

• Preferred Requirements for Position
• • At least 2 years experience in mine repair or maintenance related industry
    
  • Experience working on a crew/team in mining or construction industry
